As the launch of the Mass Effect Trilogy approaches, Bioware has released a trailer that brings together moments from all three games. It focuses heavily on the action from the third game, but that's understandable given that we now know the first two games were leading up to that war. More annoying is the voiceover banging on about how the universe needs “one man, one very specific man.” My Shepard is a woman, dammit. And what about that box art? It doesn't look like I'm going to be able to reverse it to show FemShep like with Mass Effect 3.
The Mass Effect Trilogy will be available for Xbox 360 tomorrow (November 6th), and will come to PS3 a month later on December 4th. Having to wait because you decided to get a game on one console over another is always annoying, but after five years of waiting for the first game to be ported to PS3, a month is nothing.
I knew I'd want to play through the three games again one day, and the arrival of this trilogy does present a welcome excuse. Since I traded in my 360 copies I might even get this on PS3, though I'll wait until others have bought it and had a chance to decide whether the port of the first game is good enough.
