IO Interactive has released its sixth gameplay trailer for Hitman: Absolution and it focuses on the game's "living, breathing world."
Powered by the studio's own Glacier 2 game engine, IO Interactive states, "Regardless of what play style you adopt, you will enjoy a unique playthrough experience as you enjoy the rich variation in a living breathing world. A world filled with incredibly intelligent characters all displaying richly detailed synthetic life, where everyone you meet may well have a bigger part to play in Hitman: Absolution." Or in other words, their NPCs are believeable…to some extent, of course.
I do admit, it's impressive to see the crowd being rendered that well in the game's Chinatown level. Also, the environment and character textures aren't shabby, either. Of course, there is also the big possiblity that it's on a souped-up PC and if so, chances are the console versions won't look as good.
Here's to hoping all versions of the game look good when it ships on November 20 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
