Have you finished Dark Souls and want another nerd-raging game? Well, DmC might just be the answer to that as Capcom has just announced four "special" difficulty modes for DmC. This will complement the game's base difficulty modes Human, Devil Hunter and Nephilim.
Same with past versions of the franchise, each mode will be unlocked upon successive playthroughs of the game on successful difficulties. This could either warrant mulitple playthroughs for DmC, or a lot of broken controllers for the players. If you don't know what I'm getting at, just read the four "special" difficulty modes below.
Son of Sparda – Remixed enemy layouts, tougher enemies and enemy behavior throughout.
Dante Must Die – As above, but contains the strongest enemies and insane attack waves.
Heaven or Hell – Another remixed mode, but everyone and everything, including Dante, dies after one hit. Supremely satisfying!
Hell and Hell – The same as above, but only Dante dies after one hit. For serious contenders.
So "Hell and Hell" difficulty will have a Dante have the bone density of an ant? Yeah, I can see that annoying a few gamers just a wee bit, no? Of course, the Devil May Cry series isn't really known to be a walk in the park. So having these special modes might just make people forget that we have a new punk for a hero.
DmC is seto for release on January 2013 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
