Kevin Shortt, a scriptwriter and story designer at Ubisoft Montreal, confirmed in an interview with OPM that Far Cry 3 is indeed in development and it looks pretty exciting. When asked whether he is working on a third Far Cry title , Kevin replied,
No I’m not, But I know the team are and what I’ve seen looks pretty exciting.
So far that’s all we have no leaked images; no leaked videos but looking at previous rumors about the game, Ubisoft has shown interest in moving the Far Cry franchise to a whole new world. From the Tropical Island in Far Cry to the sub-Saharan Africa in Far Cry 2, the next probable destination seems to be the Antarctic which was hinted last year by fellow Ubi writer Patrick Redding at Games Convention in Leipzig.
