Ubisoft has finally explained exactly what bonus features those who buy both Assassin's Creed 3 on the PS3 and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation can expect as a reward for their (forced) Sony loyalty. Community developer Gabriel Graziani took to PlayStation's US blog to set out the details, one day before the game launched (or will launch, depending on your timezone) in the states.
Graziani talks briefly about the four exclusive Assassin's Creed 3 missions that PS3 owners will have access to from day one, though points out that players will have to progress some way into the game before they can play those missions. The bonus content tells the story of Benedict Arnold, and you can find more information and a trailer here on Gameranx.
More interesting is that Ubisoft has finally cleared up exactly what their mysterious Cross Content entails. Unfortunately, despite the scene in one of the trailers in which Connor and Aveline are shown fighting back to back, it doesn't seem like we'll get the chance to play them in co-op. Instead, along with assorted bonuses to Aveline like the ability to use Connor's Tomahawk, and an upgrade to her ammunition pouches, you'll get an extra multiplayer character for your PS Vita multiplayer and one mission for Liberation in which you can play as Connor.
So, who wants to talk about why all this Cross-Connectivity bonus content is for Aveline and the Vita, and not for Connor and the PS3? Does Aveline need more help? Surely Ubisoft should have done the opposite, since they'll likely have a harder time selling Liberation to those who already own AC3 than the other way around?
