A tweet from the official PlayStation account has revealed that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS model will be included in upcoming PS4 exclusive Gran Turismo Sport, in addition to three new tracks. The game is currently in the middle of a closed beta, which kicked off about a month ago.
The inclusion of the Porsche marks what many fans may regard as a long-awaited debut to the Gran Turismo series, something which was not possible until late last year. In December of 2016, EA’s (Need for Speed, Real Racing) exclusivity deal with Porsche came to an end, freeing up the German car manufacturer to pursue different projects. In an attempt to whet the appetites of motoring enthusiasts worldwide, Sony has released a beautiful collection of 1080p screenshots showcasing different tracks, including Blue Moon Bay, Sardegna Windmills and Dragon Trail.
Players who are interested in participating in the closed beta can still sign up right here.
Gran Turismo Sport is expected to release sometime this year. It is the 13th title in the Gran Turismo series, and comes with vehicle damage for enhanced realism as well as a weather system.
