April Fools’ Day is upon us so there are bound to be plenty of video game jokes and false announcements being made this weekend. Getting a head start on the fun, Google has placed Ms. Pac-Man on the Google Maps similar to what they did last year.
Last year, Google activated Pac-Man on their Google Maps services with this year featuring Ms. Pac-Man. Overall, the gameplay is the same and allows players to enjoy Ms. Pac-Man on their local streets just as long as theirs enough streets covering your area to play the game.
Activating the video game is simple enough and can be done on PC or the smartphone application. Simply, locate an area you wish to use the roads for as a Ms. Pac-Man level then by clicking a button on the bottom left corner or swiping the screen if, on a mobile device, players can activate the video game.
All-in-all, this is a functioning video game as players eat up the dots scattered about on the roads while avoiding the ghosts.
Grant it, after playing the video game, the roads that end don’t clearly showcase where your character will pop up next causing a bit of a guessing game. Regardless, this is a fun little gag that is being thrown together by Google and we’re interested in seeing just what other announcements or games happen to pop up online due to the holiday.
