We’ve known about Cyberpunk 2077, a video game being developed by CD Projekt Red, for a number of years now. However, it doesn’t look like we are any closer to finding out more about this upcoming title. Instead, a new financial results conference which was reported by GameSpot has the development team giving a small little nod towards their current production.
Based off an older RPG title, Cyberpunk, CD Projekt Red is developing Cyberpunk 2077. The video game is said to be larger than their previously released title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, though little information has been unveiled.
The reason behind this is due to CD Projekt Red not wanting to showcase something that they really can’t talk about.
“When we show it, we should show it and explain it. So I’m going to have people not read anything about Cyberpunk probably for the next… time, whatever the time will be.”
With that said, the co-founder of CD Projekt Red, Marcin Iwinski did state that the development progress for the video game is quite advanced.
“Right now it’s the end of talking about Cyberpunk until we can go out there and show stuff and say, ‘Hey, here it is,’ because that’s how we do games. There is too much talking about what it possibly could be, and how big.”
In the past, there have been statements that suggest the earliest gamers will receive a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 is sometime in 2019, though with potential delays, we may not see a launch window for the video game title until 2021.
Out of speculation, we’re not going to see this video game title at E3 or anywhere else this year.
