It's been awhile since the folks who created Super Meat Boy have disclosed what they're working on. Today, they've shattered their silence to announce a new game called Mew-Genics.
Mew-Genics is described as "a game about cats… kinda."
In a newly written blog post, the game's creator Edmund McMillen calls Mew-Genics "by far the strangest project" he's ever worked on. Given that he's also worked on Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac, that's saying a lot.
Mew-Genics is the next official Team Meat game. Few details have been unveiled, except to say that it will be randomly generated, strange, and involves cats.
The development of the game is apparently far along enough that McMillen and Team Meat will be able to disclose some solid details in the near future, including what platforms it will be on, gameplay details, and screenshots.
Mew-Genics is currently in development alongside Super Meat Boy for iOS devices.
Needless to say, we're very excited!
