In an interview with VG247, IO Interactive Art Director Roberto Marchesi drops a "megaton" when it comes to Hitman: Absolution.
Are you ready?
Agent 47 can wear a dress in the game as one of his disguises.
Here's Marchesi's comment regarding the whole thing:
The funny thing about him is his looks, his classic looks, the suit the red tie – they’re iconic, they’re our brand, and we really don’t want to tamper with them. There’s nothing to be gained by doing so. Where we can actually have a more free approach is whenever he takes those clothes off and gets dressed. What makes him cool is that he’s not afraid to change his appearance in a drastic way. Just to get the job done. He will do whatever it takes just to do it; he can do it, he has no problem with it. Some of the clothes he can put on during the game are more serious, like the guard outfit, plumber outfit and so on, but some of them are definitely more outrageous, and you will get something that I think will satisfy most tastes.
If you don't want Agent 47 to be in a dress but rather see his buff body, there's a way for that, too, as you will be able to play Agent 47 bare chested. Just in case you're wondering, no word if Agent 47 can go pantsless, too.
I'm now curious to know if we can continue to wear a dress for the whole game or for just one segment. Whatever the case is, can you picture the bad-ass with the silverballers wearing a dress and offing people? That's certainly a sight to see, no?
Hitman: Absolution is scheduled to ship on November 20 for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
