Mega retailer GameStop has released the trailer for their exclusive multiplayer camos for Halo 4. It includes the Forest Armor and Artic Weapon camos that's used to great effect in the video below.
Give it a watch to see how the camo can be used as an advantage in mulitplayer. Also, added points for being comical rather than try and be all serious in plugging the skins.
I admit, I didn't see the character the first time I watched this and thought it was an editing job at first. After rewatching it, the camo does seem to work as intended…which is act as a camouflage for the player to help them in combat.
To be honest, while bright yellow or red camos might look spiffy, I don't think making yourself standout from the background is going to help you in multiplayer, no? Of course, in saying that, this Artic and Forest camos shown above might work for that particular setting, what if you put 'em in an indoor level? You'll stand out, too, though not as much.
Will people complain about this? I can see it being a concern for some, but I prefer pre-order bonuses be about camos rather than exclusive weapons or whatnot that will affect a game's balance. I've seen it happen before and it's never fun to not have access to a particular weapon just because you bought from a different retailer.
Is this video enough to make you buy Halo 4 at GameStop? For those that did, how many do you think will try the stunt shown in the video until everyone is doing it, too?
Halo 4 is scheduled to ship on November 6 exclusively for the Xbox 360.
