The Fortress of Solitude
Welcome to the kickin’ Super-Party at the Fortress of Solitude. Robin immediately fails his mission, so it’s up to the dynamic duo to solve this area together. Start with the Detective Mode icon near the dance floor. Follow that gaseous cloud up to the DJ Booth. Is that Krypto the Super-Dog?
Next, use the Sonic Detective Mode — check out the dancing Green Lantern crowd! After that, it’s time to perform a Thermal Detective Mode. Follow the footsteps up to the gallery to the right of the party room.
When you approach the Superman portrait with a magnifying glass, the secret door will open. Use Robin’s Night-Vision to see in the dark area and double-jump into the vent to get one step closer to the core.
Hit the switch at the end of the vent path to move the giant disco ball. Swap to Batman and target the ball with the grapple gun, then rebuild the leftover bricks into a shiny pinata. While the heroes are busy, you can now slip into the doors past the dance floor unnoticed! Batman is the stealthiest hero, after all.
But getting into the core isn’t that easy. Use the grapple point to pull down the giant speaker, then build the hopping bricks into a trampoline. Bounce up onto the agility poles with Robin and swing up to the top. Grabbing the last pole reveals a Batarang Switch. Activate it and the core door will finally open!
And there’s even more! You’ll have to hit the Batarang Switches in the right order to open the last door. Here’s the order: lower-right, lower-left, lower-right (again!), top.
Welcome to… the CORE. Drop down to the area beneath the red laser field and use Robin’s Night-Vision ability in the dark area.
Hit the switch to turn off the first lasers. Watch out for the lasers as you cross the walkway, then use Batman’s Stealth ability to sneak past the camera. Deactivate the defenses on the other side with a Batarang to the Batarang Switch.
Next, smash the glowing ice crystal and build the bricks into a turnstyle. Push it to reveal an agility pole and an empty agility pole slot — swap to Robin and hold [Circle / B] to swap into Robin’s Batman costume! Now he can throw an Agility Pole into the empty slot!
Have Batman (or any other character!) stand on the white button while Robin stands on the platform, then jump across the Agility Poles to reach the Robin Chute. Down below, fix the machine to open the next door. Ahead, you’ll have to dodge ice crushers! Don’t worry, just time your run and they’re easy to dodge.
At the next laser field, smash all the ice blocks and drones, using the hopping bricks to create a trampoline up to another Robin Chute. Bounce up and crawl inside! Past the lasers, smash the LEGO junk in the area to build a big block. Push it to clear away some of the lasers, letting Batman (and pals) through! They’ll need to hit the Batarang switch up ahead anyway.
Past the conveyor belt crushers, swap Robin into Bat-Robin and stand on the laser icon. Batman will automatically hit the switch, letting you target the laser beam — aim for the lock on the edge of the big “S” door.
The spinning wheels of doom can be tricky. Try using Robin to double-jump across, or hop into the Batwing to make things really easy. Up top, smash the glowing ice crystals to build a Blank Keystone Chooser. Like the first level, aim the spotlight at the blue / yellow / magenta dots to unlock the Phase Keystone.
- Magenta Portal: Activate the catapult that appears here to stop the incoming drones.
- Blue Portal: Use this one next! Push the turnstyle to block the red lasers. Remember this for later!
- Yellow Portal: This summons an elevator. Jump on top and fix the fuse box with Robin to get the elevator working again. Now Robin can jump to the Agility Poles — for each pole Robin jumps to, a platform will lower, allowing other heroes to cross too.
Once you’re up above, use Robin to jump to each Agility Pole while another hero pushes the blue portal turnstyle, blocking each set of lasers so Robin can get across.
When Robin reaches the Robin Chute, you’ll finish the mission. Time to deal with the Joker… permanently!
Arkham Asylum
Before moving on to the next level, there’s a tiny matter to solve — busted Falcone Express trucks! Use the Grapple on the orange truck handle to reveal the cargo. Smash and build to create the first device.
Next, hop into the Batwing to move the second piece of cargo onto the handcart. Build the bricks to create the second device. Only one more to go!
The last truck is outside the Arkham Asylum gates. Use Robin to fix the engine, then smash the delivered crate and construct back in the Asylum parking lot. That’s all three devices done!
Now that the staff is happy, you’re free to enter Arkham and start the next level. For real this time.
