Red Dead Redemption Will Be Xbox One Backwards Compatible This Week

July 5, 2016 by Kris Kittie

Great news for fans of the franchise who play on Xbox One.

Red Dead Redemption Will Soon Be Available on Xbox One
Red Dead Redemption Will Soon Be Available on Xbox One

The good news for fans of this franchise who own an Xbox One console will be able to play Red Dead Redemption on it starting July 8th, the date officially confirmed by Rockstar. The bad news, however, is there are no plans for a sequel on the horizon for those fans craving more of the story.

However, Xbox One gamers can now re-immerse themselves in the world of a gun-slinging western on the American Frontier with this new console option. Red Dead Redemption also became even more intriguing when its DLC game Undead Nightmare was released which left the protagonist, James Marston, to deal with the aftermath of a zombie plague.

The trend of the good reception of this game can only continue as the backwards compatibility excitement builds for fans who play on the Xbox One.

In the meantime, you can check out all the information we have on a possible sequel to Red Dead Redemption.
