Owning a nightclub in the ever popular GTA Online has its benefits; a fun pastime and an easy way to make money both actively and passively. Whether you enjoy just going out on the dancefloor to boogie the night away, drinking free booze, or other perks of owning the nightclub, nothing is more important to keep up than popularity. Now there are multiple ways to increase your popularity, but one way has its own dedicated missions behind it as well as being necessary for the After Hours career progress; Locate Celebrity, Collect Celebrity, and Rescue Celebrity.
How do I get a Celebrity Mission?
In order to get a chance at escorting a celebrity to your nightclub, your popularity needs to be somewhere between 90-95%. Players have reported being at different percentages, even some being at full 100% popularity, but would all agree being below 90% is a no-go. You can check the status of your nightclub at any point by calling Tony and in the window at the top left your club percentage will be visible. Once you have your club at a high percentage, there are two ways to start a nightclub management mission. One is to register as a CEO and log onto the computer in the upper part of your nightclub, and the other is to call Tony and request a nightclub management mission. Chances of getting the missions are already slim, but you are more likely to know if it’s a celebrity mission if Lazlow is the one to call you back. Now it is possible to get one of these missions by calling Tony, but there have been varying degrees of success using that method. Completing each celebrity mission grants the nightclub a popularity increase, as well as money and XP.
How do I complete Locate a Celebrity?
“Yo, I’ve got you a VIP to collect, bit of a celebrity actually. Total friend of mine. Poppy Mitchell. She hasn’t actually said where she is, and… I’m kinda blocked on her Bleeter, but… I think we can figure it out from her Snapmatic profile. I’ll send you the most recent post, we’ll find her, pick her up, and bring her to the club.”

“Hey. What would you do if I told you I know where Kerry McIntosh is, huh? Kerry McIntosh! If we can find her, we can bring her to the club, and everyone will know about it. Okay, we’ve just got to figure it out from her Snapmatic posts. Here, let me send you one.”
Once you’ve received one of these calls from Lazlow, it’s time to head out. Tony’s white Patriot Stretch will be waiting for you out front; hop inside and start driving. It’ll take a second for Lazlow to get the celebrities location, but once he sends it, head for the location. But that’s only the beginning, once you’ve arrived, Lazlow will alert you that the celebrity is already on the move and send another location for the player to head to. This will happen another time before the final location is given where the celebrity will be waiting. Once you’ve reached the final location, signal to her by honking the limo’s horn and wait for them to hop inside.
After picking them up, deliver them back to the club for a reward of up to $5,000 and 800RP. Afterwards the Celebrity Appearances stat will increase by one and Lazlow will gush about how he wishes he was DJing or that he hopes she will post to her social medias.
How do I complete Collect a Celebrity?
“Okay, okay, you want famous? I’ve got not one, but two of my best celebrity friends coming in tonight. Miranda Cowan and her assistant. Get out there and collect them as soon as possible… they may seem angry and impatient and greedy, but… that just means they like you.”
This call is another signal for a celebrity mission. Hop inside the white Patriot Stretch and head to the first location of this mission. After arriving, the celebrity will have paparazzi hounding them, whether with pictures or staked outside the celebrity’s home. Pick them up and now it’s you who the paparazzi will hound, chasing you on their motorcycles. Lose the paparazzi in order to pick up their assistant at another location and escort them both back to the club for a reward of up to $5,000 and 800RP. Afterwards the Celebrity Appearances stat will increase by one and they can be found in the VIP lounge areas.
How do I complete Rescue a Celebrity?
“Oh, hey, you want to get some celebs in here, this might be our chance.
Got a little tip that Lacey Jonas is in the back of a police wagon.
Who knows what she did this time… if we can get her out of there, she’s probably so doped up on painkillers, she’ll think she was on the way to the club already. Go get here while the opportunity’s there.”

“Hey. Talk about perfect timing. I said I could get a celebrity here… and Jimmy Boston has just been arrested! If you break him out, he’ll have to come to the club. What are you-what are you waiting for? Go. Go!”
Another call, another chance to snag a celebrity for your nightclub. This time, the celebrities have been pulled over by the cops and are under arrest. The player must drive to the given location, where the celebrity has already been loaded into the back of a Police Transporter. Time to do as the game title suggests, commit grand theft auto (roll credits). Steal the transporter and lose the wanted status that will incur as a result before heading back to the nightclub with wanted celebrity in hand, a reward up to $5,000 and 800RP, and a Celebrity Appearances stat increase. And, as Lazlow will call and comment on after completing the mission, “ if that’s not a story that gets people coming here, I don’t know what is.”
The amount the player will have to exit out of other missions in order for the chance to get these rare missions is, well, a lot. Good luck and happy celebrity hunting!
