Chapter 9 Collectibles Locations – Journal Entries, Notes,  Treasures & Conversations:

Journal Entry #3: Interacting with the hanging cage at the very start of the Chapter unlocks a journal entry.

Treasure #27: Lantern Mounted Flintlock – Leaving the entrance room, you’ll follow a passage on the right to a large chamber with a rickety rope bridge. Before crossing it, look left to find an optional path leading to an interior alcove with the treasure.

Journal Entry #4: After solving the elaborate puzzle, the door will roll open and allow you to proceed. Before you do, examine the square lock Nate stuck his hand in to complete the puzzle a second time and get a journal entry.

Optional Conversation #8: Sam – Leaving through the open puzzle door, stick to the left wall and approach a cliff ledge. Wait here a moment and Sam will approach, triggering an optional conversation prompt.

Treasure #28: Strange Pendant – From the puzzle exit door, follow the right path and watch out for a partially-hidden rope-swing grapple-point to the right. Climb down from the ledge and attach the rope, allowing you to swing to a hidden alcove. Check near the skeleton to get this treasure. It’s a Firefly dog-tag from The Last of Us!

Treasure #29: Amatory Box – Continue forward and follow Sam deeper into the cave. After another (required) rope-swinging segment, look to the left for a straight ledge. Hang from it and climb down to reach a shiny treasure.

Treasure #30: Pewter Box – Following a cutscene with Nadine and her crew, you’ll be able to explore another catacomb. In the back-left, behind a slab with candles, you’ll find an alcove with a collapsed statue. Crawl under the statue to find a treasure.

Treasure #31: Memento Mori Skull Watch – Pushing a crate to help you reach a high ledge, you’ll hear rumbling in the distance. From the window, turn right and move directly to the ledge. Hang from it and look down to spot a glimmering treasure icon. Use the stone wall surface to climb down and grab it.

Treasure #32: Scottish Tipstaff – Ahead, you’ll find a fallen rope bridge. Cross the gap and climb the wall to your right by attaching the rope to the large metal crate. Once you’re up, hop over the wooden barrels and boxes to the right of the metal crate. The treasure is behind the wicker basket.

Journal Note #2: Continue moving forward until you reach the next “test” — the one that crumbled into the ocean. Sam asks how you can get across — from this ledge, turn left and hop onto the rocky cliff. Climb down to reach a platform below with a skeleton. Examine the body to get another note.
