Super Mario Wonder: Where To Find Every Collectible In ‘Piranha Plants On Parade’

October 25, 2023 by Adam Carr

Guide to every collectable to be found in ‘Piranha Plants On Parade’ for Super Mario Wonder’s first world, including the secret exit.

Table of Contents[Hide][Show]
  • Purple Coin #1
  • Purple Coin #2
  • Wonder Seed #1 & Purple Coin #3
  • Flag & Wonder Seed #2
  • Secret Exit & Wonder Seed #3

Super Mario Wonder is jam-packed with things to find. Something the game doesn’t tell you, however, is that the game is not against the idea of hiding collectables – even from the checklist. Piranha Plants On Parade is the first level that reveals this deceptive truth, and you are going to have to come back later if you want to get everything.

In this guide, we are going to walk you through how to find every Purple Coin and Wonder Seed in ‘Piranha Plants On Parade’ so you can get 100% completion.

Purple Coin #1

The first purple coin can be seen almost immediately. It’s in the background, however. Move to the left and head down the first Red Pipe you see. This will take you to the background. Grab the Purple Coin and then return to the regular path. One down, two to go.

Purple Coin #2

The second purple coin is equally unmissable, only this time, you don’t need pipes to reach it. Simply hold the ‘Jump’ button when bouncing on the Musical Blocks to get enough height to reach the coin. Easy peasy.

Wonder Seed #1 & Purple Coin #3

The first Wonder Seed in this level starts a rather amusing musical number by the eponymous Piranha Parade. It’s a slow auto-scroller, so just enjoy the comedic romp through the level. You will see the last Purple Coin during this section, so use the Musical Blocks to reach it. Grab the Wonder Seed at the end and move on. Remember this place for later, however.

Flag & Wonder Seed #2

The “last” Wonder Seed is, as always, found at the end of the level. Simply reach the flagpole and use the Musical Blocks to jump high enough to reach the top. You will grab the Flag bonus for your collection and your Wonder Seed.

Secret Exit & Wonder Seed #3

The final Wonder Seed is hidden. To get it, you need to obtain the ‘Add ! Blocks’ Badge from the Poplin Shop that appears after you beat World 1. Go back into the level with this Badge equipped and then head to the spot where you grabbed your first Wonder Seed. There will be ‘!’ blocks above the seed. Jump on them and then jump to your left to find a secret passage.

Go through the pipe to reach the foreground and then run to your right until you can leave via a pipe. You end up at a new Flag Pole. Complete the level and grab your final Seed. If you grabbed the Flag during your first visit, you won’t need to do it here. If you didn’t, then get to the top of the blocks and then sprint, jump, and spin to grab the top of the pole.
