In Mighty DOOM, the F2P mobile shooter from publisher Bethesda, you’ll enter each mission with only three selected weapons. You can unlock (and upgrade) as many weapons as you want, but you’ll be locked-in when going on your latest demon slaying-spree. Weapons come in three forms; Primary, Secondary and Ultimate. Not all weapons are created equal, and some weapons can absolutely destroy entire rooms of demons without much effort. If you’re wondering which weapons are the most efficient, these are our picks for the guns you’ll really want to try.
Naturally, every gun is viable in Mighty DOOM. I recommend experimenting with whatever weapons you’re interested in. It isn’t until the later chapters that the game becomes so difficult you might want to change up your strategy and focus on the absolutely best weapons. Depending on your needs and playstyle, the weapons listed below might not be the very best, but I’ll try to explain my reasoning for why each one is best below — and offer a second choice for each category. There’s a lot of great weapons to play with, and you might be missing out on some of the best.

Best Weapons | Primary, Secondary & Ultimate
There are three types of weapons you can equip in Mighty DOOM: Primary, Secondary and Ultimate. The Primary weapon is your main tool of destruction. Secondary weapons are more powerful but take longer to use. Ultimates are special weapons you’ll want to save for specific opportunities. All have different functions in a map.
- Best Primary Weapon: Heavy Cannon
- Runner-Up: Combat Shotgun
- Best Secondary Weapon: Gauss Rifle
- Runner-Up: Super Shotgun
- Best Ultimate Weapon: Chainsaw
- Runner-Up: BFG
Best Primary Weapon: The Heavy Cannon is a workhorse weapon that’ll get you through the entire game and stay useful. It isn’t as powerful in close-range as the Combat Shotgun, but it is great for accurately taking out demons without putting yourself in danger. The Combat Shotgun is extremely useful for early chapters — and can still be useful in the late game, but you’ll want to be so close to your enemy that every pellet strikes your demonic target. The Heavy Cannon deals a little more damage than the Chaingun and most players are pretty disappointed with the Plasma Rifle. Stick with the Heavy Cannon for consistent high damage output.
Best Secondary Weapon: The Gauss Rifle is incredibly strong when paired with specific mods — if you don’t have mods equipped, you’re better off with the Ballista to deal high damage to specific tough enemies. Equip the Bounce + Pierce mods for the Gauss Rifle to clear entire rooms of enemies. This causes projectiles to bounce off walls and go through enemies, damaging everything in the room. The Super Shotgun is also incredibly useful for taking out powerful enemies or delaying bosses. If you need a weapon that’s geared toward defeating the boss at the end, go for the Ballista or Super Shotgun.
- Gold Slayer: Equip the GOLD SLAYER (in-game store purchase) to gain its powerful ability. When killing an enemy, there’s a chance you’ll automatically reload. This is one of the best abilities in the game, especially when using the Gauss Rifle.
Best Ultimate Weapon: The Chainsaw is one of the best weapons in the game — all because it gives you invincibility frames. While cutting through an enemy, you’re totally safe from attacks. Use this to move out of danger areas without risking your skin. The BFG is naturally another strong contender. If you aren’t using the Gauss Rifle with mods and need an Ultimate that can clear a room full of demons, the BFG is a great choice.
The best weapons for you may be very different than the best weapons for another player. It all comes down to rarity. Equip the gear with the highest rarity you have — that’s almost always the most important part of surviving any mission.
