Optifine is a unique mod that easily earns its rightful spot on this list. While you won’t see new armor, mobs, items, crops, biomes, or anything in-game change, this mod does unleash several options that will greatly change how you enjoy Minecraft. Basically, Optifine opens up the hood of Minecraft to give players the ability to tweak the game in order to get the best settings possible for their personal computer rig.  Some of the settings that are unlocked is a new render distance that can increase its range compared to Minecraft’s default distance settings, configurable smooth lighting, an FPS booster, fog control, there’re even options to increase the quality in various foliages.
