Call of Duty is such a big name franchise today that it’s sometimes hard to believe its second installment was released on last generation consoles. Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty 2 delivered a video game that is based in World War II and at the time that video game showcased some of the most stunning effects which ranged from weather dynamics to clouds of smoke covering the line of sight within the battlefield. Furthermore, the online section featured several modes that continued to stay with the franchise to this very day. Though some gamers would argue that Call of Duty is oversaturated within the market, this is one title that allowed the franchise to bury its roots deep.
