The world of V Rising has finally entered Early Access, allowing players to fight their way to becoming the next Dracula. Already, you can expect to be greeted with an array of content and there is even more to come. You can begin your survival journey solo and offline, or hop online and join forces with allies or even make enemies. Following suit of various other survival games, crafting is integral to building your empire. An item you will want to collect in V Rising is Blood Essence and once you know where to look, racking it up will be a simple task.

Blood Essence has a multitude of uses including building, protecting your castle from an invasion, and much more. Therefore, you want to make sure you have more than enough of it in your reserves.

How to Find Blood Essence & Greater Blood Essence

To get that all important Blood Essence, you must kill the living creatures that you will encounter on your journey. This includes animals such as bears, moose, and even humans. The amount that you earn will depend on the level of the living creature you kill. Once the living creature is low on health, you will be able to feed on it or kill it to get Blood Essence. It does not matter which option you choose as they will both grant you the same amount of Blood Essence.

Later on in V Rising, you will be able to collect Greater Blood Essence. This can be obtained from Unsullied Hearts which are dropped by living creatures of a high level and can be pressed on a Blood Press in your base.

There is no doubt that collecting Blood Essence should be one of your top priorities in V Rising. However, crafting materials such as leather is also important when you are beginning your journey in the supernatural world.
