There have been a lot of great indie hits in 2022 and the year isn’t even halfway over. One of the games that’s seen some of the most viral success, however, is Vampire Survivors, a dark fantasy roguelite that’s captivated audiences by its simple yet majorly gratifying mechanics.
The game is still in early access but is regarded by many as a must-play, especially for those with a Steam Deck who can play it easily on the go. Vampire Survivors only costs about $5 on Steam which is a great deal seeing how much content is included in the game and that it receives frequent major content updates.
Today, it was announced that Vampire Survivors, along with a few other great titles, would be headed to Xbox Game Pass to the delight of those who have been looking to try the game out for themselves.

Vampire Survivors Console Edition
Despite coming to Game Pass, it doesn’t seem like a full-fledged console release for Vampire Survivors is on the horizon anytime soon. The game will only be available on Game Pass for PC, completely ducking any official Xbox release. This is disappointing to those keeping their fingers crossed that they’ll be able to play it on PlayStation, Switch, or Xbox, but an eventual console release shouldn’t be completely counted out.
Seeing as Vampire Survivors isn’t even technically finished yet, it seems like console ports could come whenever the game hits its 1.0 update. Right now, however, it appears as if the game’s developer, Ponkle, is simply focused on patches and content updates over making the game run on the Switch or other consoles. The game’s appearance on Game Pass does bode well for console partnerships in the future as it’s already got its foot in the door with Microsoft.
