3. Tom Nook in any Animal Crossing game
This raccoon appears in every Animal Crossing game, forcing the players to take out a loan in the game’s currency, Bells, to pay for their house. Nook essentially forces the player into indentured servitude, and beating him means running out of expansions for your house.
