Liberator Pistol [Battlefield V]
Battlefield I introduced the world to the Kolibri Pistol — the tiniest, weakest weapon in the game. Battlefield V took that challenge, and managed to include an even worse real-world weapon. The Liberator Pistol is a joke weapon, top to bottom. This is a pistol that’s inaccurate and has to be reloaded every single shot — a lengthy reload too. It takes almost 7 seconds to put another bullet in the chamber.
Even after all that, the Liberator requires 3-4 hits to the chest to down a single opponent. It’s so weak not even a headshot will down an enemy in one shot. It’ll take at least two. And this is the gun you’ll earn for reaching Rank 19 in Multiplayer. Sure, we all had to earn it just to get better stuff, but does that make the grind worth it?
[NOTE: This gun did eventually get a buff. But when it first appeared, this gun was absolutely worthless. A true troll gun.]
Super Suit [Super Mario RPG]
We’re going back to a fondly-remembered classic of the SNES era. Super Mario RPG is a light-hearted adventure that basically anyone can enjoy, and its easier to play now than ever thanks to the SNES Classic. But it has one uber-item nobody wants to bother getting — the Super Suit. The Super Suit is the best armor for Mario, making him completely invulnerable to elemental attacks or status ailments, along with super high defense stats. It’s also almost impossible to unlock.
To get the Super Suit, Mario has to successfully jump on an enemy 100 times in a row. That’s all in the same combo — most players can’t make it past 14 jumps, and this game wants us to do it 100 times. The timing gets trickier the higher your jump combo goes, maxing out at a 2 frames timing window. It’s actually possible to get this super armor very early in the game, but that’s only if you manage to complete this herculean task. And it isn’t even that valuable because Super Mario RPG is already easy!
