#6 Destroy All Humans
Destroy All Humans came out in the mid-2000s and now in 2020 we are getting a remake of the first game. It’s a title that throws players into the shoes of an alien lifeform that comes to Earth in 1950s. Tasked with collecting human DNA, players are given an array of high tech alien weaponry and powers to complete the various tasks that await you. However, you may find that going after humans is no easy task as they can put up a fight of their very own.
This is a simple game that has players coming from space and terrorizing Earth’s inhabitants. As mentioned, players will have different weapons and powers such as levitation or using a flying saucer to navigate areas quickly. However, the entire game is based around six unique sandbox locations where you are then given a list of objectives to complete. For a simple game, it’s a title that’s proven to be popular years ago and just as fun for players today.
#5 System Shock Redux
System Shock was a PC action-adventure title that put players on a space station in the year of 2072 where your goal was to successfully hack and stop an artificial intelligence called SHODAN. This game was a hit, but it was also released back into the market years ago in 1994 and now a reboot is in the works from Nightdive Studios. After their successful Kickstarter campaign, the development team has been working on this game with hopes of getting it out into the market in 2020.
While the game will be a remake, the developers are adding new features and concepts though we’re not sure how deep the developers intend to go with new interpretations. The developers had already gone through a small hiatus for the title in the past but apparently, everything is back on track. At this point, we’re not sure if it will make its way out into the market as planned for this year especially after the coronavirus had already pushed some games back even further into development.
