8 Best (& Weirdest) Mods For Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Cleaner Battle HUD Mod

This mod does exactly what it says — it clears up the HUD and makes your battles look more cinematic. Once you’re a master of the game, you can basically fight without visible health meters, and if you’re looking for the truest in-show experience, this is a pretty good way to capture the feeling of two titanic foes brawling without all that extra game stuff getting in the way.

Playable Villains & Non-Playable Characters Mod

Lots of Goku’s friends and family are playable in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot — but not all of them. If you want to play as characters like Frieza, Kid Trunks, Vegito or Gotenks, you’ll need to use this character switcher mod. It doesn’t completely swap characters — it just swaps models, so you can have all of Trunks’s moves while playing as Kid Trunks. It’s a temporary solution that future DLC might fix.
