Pokemon Let’s Go
- Developer: Game Freak
- Publisher: The Pokemon Company, Nintendo
Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee! are two video game titles being developed under Game Freak. For those familiar with the Pokemon video game franchise, these are considered remakes for the 1998 release, Pokemon Yellow.
As a result, players will find most of the mechanics that the series is known for such as battling other trainers, capturing Pokemon, defeating gym leaders, purchasing items and exploring the world. Likewise, because this is a 1998 remake, only the 151 original Pokemon will be featured within the games.
Developers over at Game Freak are also putting a slight spin to that game as well thanks to the Joy-Con controllers. When tossing out a Pokeball, players will have to use the motion controls to get an accurate throw. Similar to how the touchscreen functions are made for Pokemon Go, though it seems that the mechanic system will also work for when the Joy-Con’s are docked to the Nintendo Switch.
Super Mario Odyssey
- Developer: Nintendo
- Publisher: Nintendo
Super Mario Odyssey was first unveiled during E3 2016 where players were shown off a brand new free roam world similar to the Super Mario 64 video game release. Mario will be exploring brand new worlds with a new ability thanks to a specialized hat companion. With this hat, players can control just about anything giving a wide range of ways to complete the level. Speaking of levels, there is a plethora of worlds to go through that may be drastically different than before such as the realistic city setting.
We highly recommend giving Super Mario Odyssey a go as its not only a fantastic game but easily a system seller on its own.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Developer: Nintendo EPD
- Publisher: Nintendo
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild marks as the nineteenth main installment to The Legend of Zelda franchise. This time around, players will be placed in a large open-world environment with the ability to play through the game’s dungeons in any order.
Within The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, players will take on the role of Link after he awakens from a deep slumber that lasted a hundred years. A mysterious voice alerts link to reach a ruined Kingdom known as Hyrule where he will learn of Calamity Ganon, the antagonist who had previously destroyed Hyrule, though, during the process, he had trapped himself within the Kingdom. Ultimately, Link will have to train and prepare for a battle against Calamity Ganon before he escapes and destroys the world.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Developer: Nintendo EPD
- Publisher: Nintendo
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the first Mario Kart title to release on the Nintendo Switch. Overall, the title is a port form Mario Kart 8 which released on the Nintendo Wii U.
However, there are some differences from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Mario Kart 8. This includes new characters, the ability to carry two items at once, along with some fixes in the title that was previously exploited in the past Mario Kart 8 title such as “Fire Hopping”.
