#2 Battlefield 1

Developed by EA DICE, the Battlefield franchise has recently taken a step back by taking players to World War One with Battlefield 1. The video game is the fifteenth in the Battlefield series and much like the past installments, Battlefield 1 is an FPS.
While the game features a fully fleshed out multiplayer filled with game modes, players who pick up the game also have a narrative campaign. The campaign will have a few different characters from around the globe who will offer their story of the war.
# 1Call of Duty: Modern Warfare / Warzone
- Developer: Infinity Ward
- Publisher: Activision
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Release: October 25, 2019
So it’s difficult not to toss Call of Duty a ton into this list. It’s a massive franchise that’s got a big fan base and for the most part, it tends to deliver in our expectations. In 2019 we got the reboot to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and we’re not going to spend a ton of time on it. The story campaign is fast paced and offers that big blockbuster feel, while the multiplayer offers a wide range of game modes that keeps the title enjoyable until the next major installment. However, one other element to this game is the Warzone companion title. We’re not going to offer any battle royale games into this list, but Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale game which focuses on either teams of three or solos being dropped into a large map. From there it’s a hunt to gather resources and coming out as the last man standing.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord
- Developer: TaleWorlds Entertainment
- Publisher: TaleWorlds Entertainment
- Platforms: PC
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, is a prequel to the first installment, taking place a couple of hundred years earlier. Much like the last installment, you can expect everything from siege gameplay, working with an economy, to even crafting weapons. This game may have a focus on PvP but you can still expect a campaign. Best of all, there appears to be a modding engine planned for this game so you’re likely going to find some rather cool add-ons and even campaign content.
There is a ton of creative people out there that will likely deliver some mods worth downloading for the game. If you enjoy strategy war games then this may be something you’ll want to take a closer look at. However, it’s worth pointing out that this game is only in Early Access right now. Likewise, there’s no set date to see this game release fully so we’re in a bit of a limbo right now.
