#14 Ique
Within China, video game consoles were banned until recently making it difficult for companies like Nintendo to sell their latest system releases. However, Nintendo did find a way around the system with the iQue Player. Without being labeled a video game console, Nintendo was able to deliver the iQue as a console within a controller.
Essentially, players would plug the controller into a TV and from there they could play a number of video game titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, and Star Fox 64.
#13 Morphus X300
The Morphus X300 is an android tablet developed specifically for gaming. As imagine, the games that were available were nothing super exciting but the control system was a bit ahead of its time. Aikun, the company behind the tablet, developed the Morphus X300 to have two detachable controllers similar to the Nintendo Switch. However, unlike the Nintendo Switch, the console seemed to have poor reviews with complaints of the tablet freezing up and other technical issues such as flickering displays.
