After the success of The Surge, developers Deck13 Interactive are working on the sequel for a release in 2019. This is a science fiction action RPG that took inspirations from the Souls series but in a futuristic setting. From The Surge, we know that the planet has been slowly dying with most of the resources were used up causing environmental diseases.
If you enjoyed the first title, then you can expect a more finely tuned sequel with some slight changes. For instance, this upcoming sequel, players will be able to completely customize their character, combat will be harder and furthermore, the game will be set in a bigger open-world environment.
Anthem
- Developer: BioWare
- Publisher: Electronic Arts
- Platforms: PC, PS4, XBO
- Release: 2019
Developers BioWare tends to have a positive track record when it comes to their deep narrative RPG journeys. With titles such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Dragon Age, we have big expectations when it comes to their next upcoming release, Anthem.
Anthem is set in the distant future where humanity has colonized other planets. So far what we know about the game is that players will be on a hostile alien planet where most of humanity lives behind closed off walls. Players will take on the role of a Freelancer which is a member of an organization that solely explores the open world.
However, before players can leave behind the wall, they will need to use specialized suits which will help traverse the world and likely help fight off the hostile creatures that may show up.

Tom Clancy’s The Division is making a return in 2019. The sequel is slated to follow just a few months after the events of the first installment where players find themselves battling a new enemy. A brand new civil war has broken out after the corrupt government officials begun to make life increasingly difficult for the innocent civilians seeking refuge.
Players will step back into the role of an agent within The Division as they attempt to bring peace and order back into The United States of America. Much like the previous installment, this is a third-person shooter with RPG elements sprinkled about.
Within the game, players can team up and go through various missions or game modes such as the introduction of Raids. We’re still a bit off from the release of the game so we’re waiting to hear more details regarding the leveling and progression system.
Kingdom Hearts III

We’ve waited years for the third main installment to the Kingdom Hearts franchise. The game is slated to release on January 29, 2019, where gamers can once again join up with Sora as he battles evil and meets new friends across the various Disney themed planets.
This was always a fantastic action RPG series as it blended Final Fantasy characters with Disney themed worlds. Much like past installments to the series, gamers will battle enemies with the help of your party members and magic spells. Of course, there is also a barrage of melee style attacks to use though we’re eager to see what combat changes, if any, are present in Kingdom Hearts III.
Likewise, this third installment is releasing not only on the PlayStation 4 but will be branching off from the Sony exclusive console lineup by also launching on the Xbox One platform as well.
