Citadel: Forged With Fire recently just launched on Steam as an early access title. This is a sandbox RPG title as players fight each other, form alliances, explore territories, build bases, tame beasts, and more. If you’re just starting out, there’s a good chance you may be looking for a quick way to level up your character instead of dealing with the gruesomely long grind.
Unfortunately, there will be some slight experience point grinding through this guide, but so far, this is the best and quickest way to easily level your character up throughout their journey. Without further ado, check out our leveling guide for Citadel: Forged With Fire down below.
Note: This guide will be broken into sections showcasing just the best way to grind through select levels until you reach level 30.
Levels 1-5
When you first start out in the game there are a few things you can do right away to gain some quick experience points. For starters, you’ll want to turn down your foliage density to the lowest setting.
By lowering the foliage density, you’ll easily be able to see certain items on the ground which will grant you experience points just for picking them up.
Some of the items you’ll want to keep an eye out for and pick up include the following:
- Rune Crystals
- Herbs
- Wood
- Stones
- Mushrooms
These items will be easy to find as they are abundant within all three of the spawn locations. Simply collect as much as possible to earn the experience points.
During this portion of the grind, you can select your weapon of choice and skills through the skill tree, ultimately, these choices will be opinionated by how you wish to play the game though later in this guide we will be using the staff.
Another means to help boost your experience points during this initial early stage includes crafting. For instance, you’ll find plenty of wood and with it, you can craft parchment which will earn you a nice bit of experience points.
Craft and collect as much as possible though when you are unable to carry any additional weight simply disregard your inventory and start back over again.
Levels 5-10
Getting to level 10 from level 5 is really smooth thanks to the Extract spell. This will require a staff so you’ll want to make sure you acquire one and then bind the Extract spell to the staff.
With the Extract spell, players can simply stand in one place and use the spell to harvest trees which will give you wood and herbs.
You’ll find that you’ll quickly not have enough room to carry more items after harvesting a couple trees. This is where our next step comes into play.
Learn to build structures, specifically floors and walls. With this, you can build your own fort while also gaining a ton of experience points.
Levels 10-30
Once you hit level 10 you can unlock the Pacify spell and obtain a broomstick. Broomsticks are quick transportation while the Pacify spell can be used to tame various animals in order for them to be used as a mount.
It’s a bit unfortunate that the rest of this level grind will be tedious which is clearing caves. They are abundant in the game world but each can be very tough making it more of a job to tackle with a group of friends.
You will want to take note that if raiding with friends, the experience points earned will be split among the party of players.
