24 years ago, before gaming sites or even the Internet (in its current form) existed…I was born. But more importantly, Nintendo Power began an incredible journey to become a part of many gamers' childhood. One of the first magazines of its kind (and one of the only ones that was still around) Nintendo Power issued a goodbye letter to its readers. After news that the publication would be stopping, a farewell letter was published. The editor-in chief had this to say:
"As a lifelong Nintendo fan, and a charter subscriber to this magazine, it was a dream come true when I got the opportunity to helm Nintendo Power. For the past five years, it's been an honor and a pleasure to bring you the best, most in-depth Nintendo coverage around. We'll do our best to make the last few issues of Nintendo Power something special for oyu. Thank you for being part of this wonderful ride."

Farewell, Nintendo Power. You were a catalyst for many gaming sites and journalists, as well as a friend to many Nintendo gamers. You will be missed.
