Fungipunk puzzle game She Remembered Caterpillars has received a fresh trailer showcasing its dynamic, meditative gameplay. Set within a bizarre, phantasmagorical world, the game tasks players with colour-matching puzzles across 40 levels of ever-changing game mechanics. The puzzles are metaphorical interpretations of grief and loss, key themes explored in an abstract story that is centred around a scientist’s quest to save her father.
The list of game features is as follows:
- Gorgeous artwork from Symmetrain (IGF 2014 Student Showcase Award) creator Daniel Leander Goffin.
- 40 levels of brain-bending puzzles, with each new act presenting a fresh mechanic or a different color.
- A haunting soundtrack by Thomas Höhl, composer for Galaxy On Fire and the well-known Deponia (1–3) franchise.
- She Remembered Caterpillars can easily be played by the color-blind, thanks to its unique usage of shapes and symbols
She Remembered Caterpillars is due to release on January 17 for PC and Mac via Steam.
