Yup, that’s right in addition to new End Cities, End Ships, new effects such as levitation and brewing, you can now don a breastplate Elytra allowing you to glide from high ledges. Elytra cannot be crafted, only found in The End.
The Update 1.10 for consoles also includes some other tasty features such as new mobs, new tutorials for banners and elytra and new blocks, bringing the console version nearly up to par with the PC version.
The update adds another dimension to gameplay with the introduction of Elytra and a more solid endgame goal with the Cities and End ships.
Personally, I haven’t played Minecraft in around 2 years (I played it so much that even looking at Minecraft sprites makes me feel queezy) but it’s really cool to see just how much better this game is getting with every update especially to the subjectively bland ending.
