Dark Souls 3 is set to expand with the release of Ashes of Ariandel, a new expansion for the hardcore game. The new title adds three-versus-three PVP battles, allowing two groups of players to bash each other over the head.
From Software announced that the upcoming expansion will have improvements to the game’s multiplayer modes, in addition to the PvP arena. Players can infuse and refill their Estus flasks within it, so nobody’s at a disadvantage (well, at least in terms of estus, anyway).
Ashes of Ariandel is the first of two planned DLC expansions slated for release. Beyond PVP, it also adds new areas, enemies and loot drops for players to find—so expect some new weapons, armor and magical spells to unlock.
The expansion will be out on PC, Xbox One and PS4 on October 25. It’s part of the DLC Season Pass, but it can be purchased separately for $15.
