There has been rumors and speculation as to 2K Games desire to release a BioShock collection into the market long before its original announcement. Now that the video game collection is finally out and gamers are able to enjoy the remastered editions, it has become apparent that PC gamers are struggling with some issues that have hindered the gameplay experience.

Now that the game has been out for a short while, 2K Games has taken notice of the array of issues PC gamers are dealing with when it comes to the first two remastered editions, BioShock and BioShock 2.

2K Games has posted an official statement on the matter right on the Steam page for BioShock: The Collection, alerting fans that they are fully aware of these issues and are hard at work in making a patch. Within this patch, 2K Games will address the following.

  • General Mouse Fixes, including better Mouse Smoothing, Sensitivity and Acceleration Options in BioShock;
  • Additional Speaker Mode Options in Audio Settings in BioShock;
  • Improved FoV Slider Options in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  • Support for 21:9 display ratios in BioShock, BioShock 2 and Minerva’s Den;
  • General stability improvement to reduce instances of game crashes.

Unfortunately, it’s not stated just when the patch will be heading to the BioShock: The Collection. Regardless of these issues, gamers still seem to be interested in picking up the collection which could sway 2K Games to once again, revisit the franchise for a brand new installment.
