It was one of the first things I wrote about for Gameranx back in April. Enter the Gungeon came out earlier this year – it’s a roguelike game from Dodge Roll Games and Devolver Digital. I put more hours of playtime than I care to admit. But coming this Fall, the development team intends to keep their party going by adding a new free update called Supply Drop.
Remember how cool the original launch trailer was? It still holds up today.
According to the announcement, the added content coming your way has a little bit of everything. We’ll be getting over 100 new rooms, that have their own weapons, enemies, companions, bosses and shrines within them. Ser Junkan gives you a boost of power for every bit of junk you have in your inventory. But if you would rather carry around guns, there’s a new one called the “Bullet Gun” that shoots guns, which in turn shoot bullets. You’ll need all the firepower you can get, considering that the Robot and Bullet playable characters will have their own pasts to explore. Be careful though, you might run into the new Mine Flayer boss along the way.
“Our research showed that the Enter the Gungeon community wanted three things – ever lasting life, rock hard abs, and more content for Enter the Gungeon,” said Fork Parker, Devolver Digital CFO. “Great news nerds, we delivered on two of the three.”
The Enter the Gungeon Supply Drop update comes out this Fall for PC (Mac) and PS4. To learn more about the game, check out their website, Twitter, and Facebook.
