Bethesda has provided an update on how Fallout 4′s mods program is progressing for the PlayStation 4, but it might not be the best news for eager fans.
Bethesda marketing executive Pete Hines took to Twitter to respond to a question from a fan. He said that the mods program for PS4 is currently under “evaluation”, most likely by Sony, so due to this process no release date is set yet.
On August 1st, Hines said something similar, letting fans on Twitter know that Bethesda is working with Sony to release mods for Fallout 4 on the PS4.
“The process is still under evaluation. As soon as we learn more, we will share news,” he said at the time.
Official mod support has been out on the PC for several months now, as it was added in April. After a brief beta, mods were added for the Xbox One in May.
This brings us to the initial plan that Bethesda had to run a beta on PS4 and then introduce the mod feature in June for all users.
Thus, currently we are left with no ETA as to when the mod program will be available for PS4.
