With the release of South Park: The Fractured But Whole coming up, Ubisoft has uploaded a parody video about their Oculus Rift knockoff, the Nosulus Rift. This product helps bring the smells of the South Park game straight to you, via a device you attach on your face. In order to help sell the idea that this is a real thing, they have a guy from Japan talk about how complex the technology of the Nosulus Rift is, and a guy from France who is a master smell expert and has a skillful nose.
As you can see in the video, they showcase this parody product alongside demonstrating some of the action from the South Park: The Fractured But Whole game. The centerpiece of the game is the return of the farting powers that the main characters have at their disposal. Not only is this somewhat supernatural element a part of game battles, but there’s also uses for it in the exploration parts of The Fractured But Whole too. The game itself is a continuation of the Stick of Truth storyline, taking place in the South Park right after the kids get bored of playing fantasy. Now they’re all about being superheroes, and the new kid has to start from the bottom of the popularity ladder all over again.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole releases for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 6, 2016. To keep up to date with the game, check out their website.
