Recently 38 studios has been in quite a lot of trouble, defaulting on a check and not being able to pay their employees. There is some light in this dark cavern of misery though. The governor of Rhode Island has announced that 38 Studios will be launching their newest project, Project Copernicus, in June of 2013. It's quite weird when a political figure makes a video game announcement but let's just move on.
Since then a trailer has been released for the game. There isn't any gameplay or characters shown for that matter. The video shows off the expansive looking world of the game. It sort of reminds me of a more advanced Morrowind world. The game truly does look gorgeous and I can't wait to see what 38 studios does with it. Hopefully politics don't get thrown into the mix.
