If you enjoy survival horror games then you may want to add Emily Wants To Play towards your pickup list. The video game was originally released for the PC platform last year, 2015, however, the title will now be releasing on the PlayStation 4 console. This came from an announcement made by SKH Apps founder on the official PlayStation blog.
Emily Wants To Play puts players into the shoes of a pizza delivery guy who is on his last stop of the night. Making their way inside the home, players will be tossed into a nightmare where Emily torments her guests with three living dolls.
The entire game is a bit of a puzzle filled with jump scares as players make their way around the three living dolls while exploring the home. Interestingly enough, with the PlayStation 4 port announcement, Shawn Hitchcock, the SKH Apps founder and developer of Emily Want’s To Play, revealed that there are plenty of elements taken from his childhood for the creation if this game.
For instance, the entire layout of the home is based off Shawn Hitchcock’s childhood home in New Orleans.
“The environment in the game, the house, is actually my childhood home in New Orleans. It was a very old house where several bizarre and traumatic occurrences took place. I wasn’t going to use it at first, but as I drew it out on paper, I realized the layout was perfect. The layout of the house really worked great in combination with the strategic elements that occur later on in the game.”
You can take a look at the announcement trailer posted above and can pick the game up when it launches on the PlayStation Store, this August 9, 2016 , for $4.99.
