Skyrim was a hit, it spawned more than a few catchphrases, most of which went beyond the game itself. One such phrase was Fus Ro Dah, the shout heard on message boards around the world. The most famous dragon shout is likely to become that much harder to use by other companies over the next few weeks with Zenimax filing no less than six trademarks concerning the term.
Not only have they trademarked the phrase for use in video games (and manuals, trading card games and strategy guides) but also on backpacks, eyeglass cases, phone cases, clothing, action figures and, my favourite, bobble head dolls. Before you get too excited ("a FUS RO DAH BOBBLE HEAD?!) you should keep in mind that the main goal of trademarking all of this is to stop other people from using it, rather than showing any intention Zenimax might have for the future.
