Fallout 4 was a prominent part of Bethesda’s E3 presentation. Besides the massive updates coming to Fallout Shelter, we got confirmation of two more settlement building related DLCs, as well as a peek at the Nuka World expansion.
But Bethesda also announced the inclusion of Fallout 4 into HTC Vive VR headsets.
“We think that VR is the perfect fit for truly immersive games like our massive open-world RPGs,” said Bethesda’s Pete Hines. “If you thought Survival Mode was an intense Fallout experience… you ain’t seen nothing yet.”
It’s much of what you could expect. The experience of Fallout 4 is going to be translated over into virtual reality platforms for the first time.
“We are thrilled to welcome the incredible world of Fallout 4 to the HTC Vive platform. Players are going to be blown away when they experience Fallout 4 VR with the full immersion offered on the Vive,” stated the Vice-President of VR Content at HTC, Joel Breton.
The VR demo for the upcoming Fallout 4 VR experience is playable at Bethesda’s E3 booth in the South Hall (#1647). The formal release for the game is sometime within the next 12 months.
