Cliff Bleszinski showed off his upcoming first-person arena shooter, LawBreakers, at the PC Gaming Show earlier today. The developed unveiled the release roadmap for the game’s alpha test. Beginning this weekend on June 18, players will be able to join in the gravity-defying action in a closed test.
Boss Key also released a new developer video explaining their plans for the alpha. Check that out below:
The alpha will take place in a series of scaling tests throughout the summer, with an Early Access program set to launch on Steam later this year. The developers intend to add new maps, modes, roles, and features throughout the game’s development.
“While we’ve given people a glimpse of the game at various events over the last year of development, this weekend is the first time we’ll begin really showing LawBreakers off publicly,” said Bleszinski. “I can’t wait for everyone to see the results of all the blood, sweat and tears our development team has poured into this project so far. And it doesn’t stop here; we’ve got a lot more content we’re working on that we’ll continue to roll out during the alpha, Early Access and beyond, collaborating with the community to shape and improve the game.”
LawBreakers is a role-based, team-oriented FPS that’s set in a heavily modified American landscape, taking place in iconic locales like the Santa Monica coastline and a gravity-ravaged Grand Canyon. We covered the game before in our hands-on preview, so be sure to check that out.
