The latest installment of the Guilty Gear franchise, Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- has a brand new story trailer. Currently, the game is already released in Japan, but with this new story trailer preview, western gamers can prepare for the video game’s launch that is set for June 7, 2016, for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- is a direct sequel to the previously released, Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-. Overall, the Xrd series within Guilty Gear follows the storyline from Guilty Gear 2: Overture. More specifically, the game is set in the year 2187, a year after the events of Guilty Gear 2: Overture.
Within Sign, the storyline was centered around each of the character’s own unique storyline, though in the last half of the game, the storyline focus is turned into capturing Ramlethal in Conclave and Justice’s arc.
This is where Revelator will pick back up as gamers will see a storyline that focuses on Elphelt Valentine and Jack-O’s arc. As mentioned, Revelator already released within Japan though the United States will see the game launch exclusively for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles on June 7, 2016, while EU gamers will have to wait a bit longer with their launch being on June 10, 2016.
