Deus Ex: Mankind Divided features the continuation of Adam Jensen’s story, which began in Human Revolution a couple years back.
Set after the events of the first game, the series’ protagonist is now a part of a global law enforcement organization founded to stop the rise of terrorism conducted by mechanically augmented humans segregated in “mechanical apartheid” by non-aug society, fearful of their existence due to the events at the end of the first game.
As a result of those events, new laws have been created and enforced to isolate augmented humans from “naturals.”
Today, the game’s publisher Square Enix and its developers at Eidos Montreal released a live action trailer for the upcoming game. The short film is intended to immerse viewers in the dystopian setting. Check it out below.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided will launch on August 23 for PlayStation®4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
