There are more than a few fans who are a bit bummed that Rockstar Games has seemingly forgotten DLC for their single-player campaigns. We went through Grand Theft Auto V without a single DLC campaign drop, and the same came for Red Dead Redemption 2. Both games are still supported online with multiplayer content to enjoy. However, if you’re looking for something a little more substantial offline, you’re out of luck.
Fortunately, there are some modders seeking to take on the challenge. A new mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 has just been unveiled and has already garnered thousands of views. Fans are hopeful that this will be released for the public to enjoy. The problem here is that players will have to wait and see if Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive don’t remove the mod before it can even see the light of day.
Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso The Forgotten Frontier
Taking to YouTube, Rixus unveiled a new video highlighting Red Dead Redemption 2: Nuevo Paraiso The Forgotten Frontier. This mod aims to bring Mexico to Red Dead Redemption 2, something that has been previously inaccessible due to a barrier, leaving those who enjoy the Old West with only a brief glimpse of a territory that is yearning to be explored.
That’s where Rixus is coming in with a team to build up the state of Nuevo Paraiso. It’s designed from the ground up to replicate the style and atmosphere of the Red Dead Redemption games. It’s also looking to be quite ambitious. Everything, from settlements and roads to trailers, locations, NPCs, and vegetation, is being accounted for with this mod.
Players will also discover some secrets and smaller missions to undertake. That’s giving fans a lot of hope that this mod will finally be released, offering players a fresh new slew of content to enjoy. The problem is that we don’t know if this PC mod will actually come out. There have been more than a few times where the owners of the IP killed off mods. Likewise, we don’t know how close the team is to releasing this mod.
For now, we have a trailer, which you can view above. In other news related to Red Dead Redemption 2, it has recently become the fourth-best-selling video game of all time. Likewise, those of you who are sticking with Red Dead Online will find some new bonuses available in celebration of Thanksgiving.
