Tekken 7 may only be available within the Arcades in Japan right now, but this year the game will have its own tournament within North America. Gamers within the United States and Canada will have the chance to go head-to-head and duke it out with Bandai Namco’s latest fighting title to earn a nice chunk of change.
Revealed through the Bandai Namco Entertainment website, Tekken 7 will be touring within North America, calling on the franchise’s best players to enter the Tekken 7: The King of the Iron Fist Tournament 2016.
The event will run through a total of eighteen different cities across both the United States and Canada where the winner will take home ultimate bragging rights and cash prizes.
With the Tekken series being one of the key cornerstones of the fighting game genre, there are plenty of incredible players itching to get a chance in trying the game out.
Each tournament stop will have a feature prize pool of $3,000 though the final prize pool will give the winner a total of $20,000. Check out the stops featured in the official Bandai Namco Entertainment post and consider throwing your hat into the ring.
As for when you can enjoy Tekken 7 at home through the console release, the game will be launching at some point this year for the PlayStation 4.
