The makers of Unravel have signed a deal with Electronic Arts to make a sequel for the charming platformer. Today, EA announced that it is extending its partnership with Coldwood Interactive to develop a new game.
“It’s been quite incredible to see the community’s love for Yarny, both in the game and beyond,” said EA EVP Patrick Söderlund during the company’s annual Investors Day.
“At EA, we love working with creative and passionate development teams, in our own studios and our partners. Which is why I’m very pleased to announce that we’ve signed a new agreement with Coldwood to work with them on their next project.”
The publisher later confirmed that the studio’s next project will be none other than a sequel to Unravel, to be developed by the same team. They did not share any further details, but there’s a good chance that we’ll be looking at it come E3 this year.
