The PlayStation Vita has launched, bringing with it a wide selection of 25 Vita games, hundreds of playable PSP and Minis titles and a selection of apps. Along with instant classics like Uncharted: Golden Abyss and WipEout, the console also brings with it a set of lesser known games and brilliant quality ports.
Described by some as a "PS3 in your pocket," the Vita boasts state-of-the-art tech including front and back touch screens and an OLED display, as well as Sony Entertainment Network features like PlayStation trophies and cross-game chat. You'll also be able to compete with those in your general area using the NEAR app, allowing you to set challenges and play at your own pace against other local Vita owners.
If you've pre-ordered, hopefully you'll be getting your console over the next couple of hours (mine is still in the post…) if you don't have it already and, otherwise, the Vita is now available for purchase from your local stores.
