October will be a big month for gaming, as numerous titles will arrive across multiple systems that will keep people busy for a while. One of those titles is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, which is the follow-up to the beloved Budokai Tenkaichi games from the past that helped elevate the franchise to even greater heights. Bandai Namco worked hard to deliver an experience that fans wouldn’t forget while also diving deep into the lore of the franchise to ensure that every possible character you could think of would be in the title. With it only a week away from launch, a new trailer encourages you to “ignite the spark” as you give it your all in battle.
As you’ll see in the very well put together trailer below, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero features characters from every era of the franchise, and the trailer highlights that by putting beloved characters in both classic battles while also putting some twists on them. For example, we see classic clashes featuring Goku, Frieza, Jiren, Cell, and more. Then, we see things get a bit twisted, such as Cell squaring off against the adult future version of Gohan. Or, Ultra Instinct Goku having to go up against both Jiren and Broly, which is something many would’ve loved to see.
We also get to see Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta against Baby, which fans know is basically two Vegetas going up against one another. The point with this is that it doesn’t matter who you pick to be in these fights; they are all ones you can do within the game. The title has a massive roster of just over 180 characters, touching everything from the anime TV series to the special movies that came out, to the “non-canon” material, and more. It’s all here, and it’s all waiting for you to get into the fight.
As noted earlier today, the game’s file sizes are actually quite small, despite having tons of content within the game itself. That’ll definitely encourage players to not only get it, but possibly get it early so that they know they have it downloaded and ready to go when October 11th arrives.
This doesn’t even touch on the game modes that are inside, including a campaign mode where you can alter the canon to see how things would’ve gone if certain decisions were made differently. Plus, you can create any matchup you want and craft how the characters interact.
It truly is the ultimate experience for fans.
